Key Highlights

Mera Peak (6,476 metres), the highest trekking peak in Nepal, offers one of the most refined introductions to high-altitude Himalayan mountaineering, combining scale, solitude, and a true expedition environment deep within the remote Hinku Valley of the Everest region. Far removed from crowded trails, the approach unfolds through pristine forests, glacial valleys, and high alpine landscapes, creating an experience defined by remoteness and immersion rather than speed. While technically non-extreme, the altitude and glaciated terrain demand disciplined acclimatisation, sound judgement, and professional leadership, making the climb both accessible and deeply rewarding for those seeking their first 6,000-metre summit. The summit panorama is among the finest in the Himalayas, offering an uninterrupted view of five 8,000-metre giants—Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Kanchenjunga—while the journey itself provides essential mountaineering skills in glacier travel, rope work, and high-altitude decision-making. For climbers who value authentic expedition ethics, measured progression, and a refined approach to Himalayan exploration, Mera Peak with Taamara Trails represents one of the most compelling elite climbing expeditions in Nepal.
